NVQ Level 4 - Controlling Lifting Operations (Supervising Lifts - Construction)
Course Overview
The Level 4 Lifting Supervisor NVQ, is a proficiency-based qualification for candidates who currently work in a lifting or crane supervisory role. The supervision of lifting operations must be part of your current duties for you to undertake this qualification – if you don’t currently work supervising lifts and don’t have the sufficient knowledge you will not be able to undertake this NVQ. Throughout the course candidates are assessed through the collection of evidence that will demonstrate their skills, knowledge and understanding as well as demonstrating their competence in the workplace when carrying out planning lifts within the construction industry.
Once you finish the NVQ you will be able to apply for a blue CPCS card (Construction Plant Competence Scheme). If you wish to apply, you must have already trained for and been awarded the red CPCS card, you will need a further 6 months experience as well as the Level 4 NVQ.
Wolfwood offer a nationwide NVQ service, made possible using our online NVQ portfolio Quals Direct. Your NVQ will be assessed using the product of your work e.g. contract documents. Your knowledge will be assessed using professional discussion or written reflective account.
